Went camping up near Payson this weekend. I actually didn't fish too much as we visited my Aunt and Uncle who live there and he drew an archery tag so we had to go for a walk and see if any elk were about. We found some good areas we'll have to check back on as it gets closer to the fall.
Back to the fishing the river was bit off color but I managed a couple bows from 6-12 inches.
This was the money run right before it got too dark.
I fished an olive crazy dad most of the time. The river is loaded with crawfish and even the smaller fish were hammering the fly.
Gotta be some elk around here. Yep found 'em.
If you were waiting to get up to the rim and fish you might as well get after it.
